International Children’s competition

“The SUNNY RUNES in the Bulgarian traditional costumes and textile”    

Silistra 2010

 

I. Objectives:

• to encourage young people to appreciate the beauty of the sunny colors, runes, symbols, shapes and ornaments from the local traditional costumes;
• to raise the interest in craftsmen art of weaving and embroidered the Bulgarian traditional costumes and textile;
• to give knowledge about the specialty and style of the Bulgarian folklore ornaments;
• to raise the interest in historical events and personalities from the time of Avitohol, Kubrat and Asparuh until nowadays who led the Bulgarian state to great development and made the ancient Bulgarian runes and letter reach us.
• To preserve the Bulgarian tradition and culture for the future generations as one of the precious contributions to the European cultural heritage.

 

II. Genre – painting, graphics, applied art, collage, computer painting and presentation.

III. Participation conditions:

• The competition involves only the digital versions of the pieces sent to slancheviruni@gmail.com;
• Each piece is scanned or captured with digital camera and sent to the email as attachment file. The originals of the works stay with authors.
• In the email, please write:

• Full name of the author;
• Title of the piece;
• Author’s years, address, email, school and phone number;
• Name of the teacher;
• Text which contains brief description of the work.
• The awarded authors will receive their diplomas to the mentioned email.

      The works will be judged in three age groups:
-   I group -   6 - 10 years.
-  II group - 11 - 14 years.
- III group - 15 - 18 years.
